Company History
Microtech Machine Co., Inc. is a woman owned small business which specializes in prototype engineering and manufacturing production for the aerospace industry, military and commercial aviation markets, medical markets, the railway industry and industrial manufacturers worldwide.
Microtech is certified to the standard of AS9100D including ISO 9001:2015 which encompasses a scope of registration for precision machining, machine building, assembly and welding. It is an organization which focuses on innovative, engineered solutions by partnering with its customers in the development, material selection and production of:
• Demanding aerospace high reliability, close tolerance flight and EDU components and commercial aviation machining challenges
• Prototypes of highly engineered and close tolerance high alloys metal parts, stainless steel, castings, forgings and thermoplastic components
• Machine production runs of existing component parts and subassembly configurations
• Tooling, dies and fixtures
• Partial and/or complete specialized product application machines
Microtech's engineering and production capabilities are located in a new air conditioned 20,000 square foot facility in Wheeling, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago. It is a vertically integrated machine shop which includes:
• Pro- E, Mastercam and 3D Surface/Solid Model (working direct from your model) computer systems
• Electronic inspection equipment and multiple granite tables
• CNC and manual lathes
• CNC Vertical and Horizontal machining centers
• Multi-spindle drilling, tapping and press machines
• All grinding capabilities and precision tool sharpeners
• Honing machine
• Tig and Arc welders including robotic welding
• Automated wash tank, vibratory deburring and dry blast cleaning equipment
